Terms & Conditions

By using thailandfishing.com you accept the terms below. They exist mainly to be clear about two things: fishing carries real risk, and the words and photographs here belong to the person who made them.

Fishing is done at your own risk

This is the part that actually matters. Everything on this site is information, not instruction or supervision. Fishing in Thailand can involve small boats, remote reservoirs, fast water, powerful fish, sharp hooks, extreme heat, and places where help is a long way off.

You are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of anyone with you. Assess conditions yourself, use a competent local boatman where one is needed, wear a flotation device on the water, and carry enough water for the heat. Thailand Fishing accepts no liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from decisions you make on the bank or on the water.

Follow local rules

Permits, licences, closed seasons, protected species, and access rights vary across Thailand and change over time. It is your responsibility to know and follow the rules where you are fishing, including any conditions set by a park or landowner. Nothing here overrides Thai law or a venue's own regulations.

Accuracy, and how it decays

Guides are written from firsthand experience and are accurate as far as is known at the time of writing. Prices, opening hours, stock levels, boat availability and access can all change without notice — sometimes within a season. Confirm details directly with a venue before travelling or spending money.

No catch is promised. Fishing does not work that way, and a site that suggested otherwise would not be worth reading.

Content ownership

The articles, photographs and video on this site are the original work of Joshua Rittmann unless credited otherwise, and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a visible link back to the source page.

Republishing whole articles, or using the photographs commercially, requires written permission first. If you want to use something, ask through the contact page — permission is often granted, and it costs nothing to ask.

Commercial links

Some pages contain affiliate links, which are explained in full in the affiliate disclosure. Buying through them costs you nothing extra and never changes what gets recommended.

Links to other sites

Where this site links to a venue, retailer or other resource, that destination is outside its control. Linking to somewhere is not an endorsement of everything on it, and no responsibility is taken for what other sites publish or do with your data.

Messages you send

Send only what is yours to send, and keep it civil. Abusive or unlawful messages will simply be deleted. How your message is handled is set out in the privacy policy.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. It may be offline occasionally, and articles may be updated, corrected or removed at any time without notice.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date below shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
